THE MUSIC CITY FALCON CLUB STORY
The seeds for the Music City Chapter of the Falcon Club of
America were sown in conversations at the National meet in
Knoxville, TN in 1993, where several FCA members from the
Nashville area showed interest. FCA member G. B. Netterville
convened a meeting of FCA members in the Nashville area on
February 27, 1994, to discuss forming the Music City Chapter.
Seventeen persons were in attendance, and agreed to form the
chapter. Althea Fleeman was elected the first President. The
name "Music City Chapter" was chosen at the first meeting.
Meetings were held monthly from the beginning with some
exceptions. Activities included participation in various car
shows, cruise-ins, social gatherings such as picnics and
Christmas parties, and attendance at regional and national meets by
several members.
The Music City Chapter hosted Regional meets in Nashville in
1997,1998,2000, and 2001. The biggest challenge for the chapter
was the hosting of the 2002 National FCA meet in Nashville. Success was the word of the day, with the largest number
of cars ever at a FCA National meet.
The fourteenth anniversary of the chapter is observed this year, with a
solid look to a future of Falcon fun!

Again
Phil's wagon drew a lot of attention and a trophy at the 07 National meet
which was rightly deserved.

Jim
Hatcher's 65 Hardtop at the 07 Nationals
This
car isn't in our local group but it deserves recognition. Jim is a
long time FCA member and this car (or an earlier version) has probably
been to more national meets and won more trophies than any other car
in the organization.
Jim drives it everywhere
too! I understand that it is washed before going into the garage.

Too bad that a retractable hardtop took away a lot of his thunder.

Dale Holland has rendered his
resignation as Partsmaster
for the local chapter. For
his years of holding down this position, along with his term as
President, and
giving aid to many with their parts questions and needs, the
chapter is truly grateful.

TECH TIP
Have you tried using ratcheting box end
wrenches? After fooling with cars well over 50 years your fledging
webmaster received some for Christmas and loves them. Great for
getting in places that socket wrenches wont go.
